MapNib Terms of Service
Last updated: November 5, 2026 | Version: terms-2026-11-05-v2
1. Who provides MapNib
MapNib is operated by Line 8 Software Solutions, based in Connecticut, United States. These terms govern your use of mapnib.com, app.mapnib.com and the MapNib account service. Contact Support@mapnib.com about these terms, account support or a service concern. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement to use a MapNib account. If you act for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to do so. Provide accurate account information, protect your password and verification links, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Do not share passwords or use another person's account without permission.
3. Availability and permitted use
Use only the features made available to your account. Availability and service limits are shown in the workspace. Do not submit confidential building plans, personal or regulated information through the public demo or support email. A separate agreement may be needed before processing sensitive customer material.
4. Your material and permissions
You retain your rights in material you are authorized to submit. If a permitted feature accepts your material, you grant Line 8 Software Solutions the limited permission needed to host, process, display and return it to you, provide support you request, and protect the service. This permission does not transfer ownership to us. You must have the rights and permissions needed for any material you provide, including information about a building or another person. We do not claim ownership of your original content or use it to train large language models.
5. Results require review
MapNib creates editable draft geometry. Tracing can omit or misinterpret details; dimensions, area and geographic placement depend on the source image, scale and calibration. Output is not a certified survey, architectural or engineering opinion, safety assessment, or legal boundary determination. Review every result and obtain appropriate professional verification before using it for construction, engineering, emergency planning, legal boundaries or safety-critical decisions. Compatibility with every destination application is not guaranteed. Keep your own original files and copies of outputs you need.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use MapNib unlawfully, infringe others' rights, upload malware, attempt to access another customer's data, bypass access or rate limits, interfere with the service, or misrepresent output as professionally certified. Do not probe or test security without written permission. Report suspected vulnerabilities privately to Support@mapnib.com without including passwords, access tokens or another person's data.
7. Prices, credits and refunds
The price, applicable taxes, credit scope, storage period and refund policy are shown before purchase and require your acceptance. There is no automatic permission to charge you because you created an account. The separately displayed credit and refund policy describes project access and refund eligibility. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
8. Suspension, closure and changes
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address security threats, unlawful conduct, a material breach, service maintenance or discontinuation. Where practicable and appropriate, we will explain the restriction and how to contact support. You may request account closure at Support@mapnib.com. We may retain limited information as described in the Privacy Policy, including to honor deletion requests after recovery or satisfy legal obligations. Material changes to these terms will be identified by a new version and communicated through the service or your account contact before they apply when required; a change to the website does not silently replace an acceptance record. If you do not accept a required new version, stop using the affected feature and contact support about closure.
9. Service limits and responsibility
We use reasonable care in providing MapNib, but do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free results or suitability for every purpose. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available and implied warranties are excluded. We are not responsible for loss caused by your reliance on unverified output, your failure to retain necessary copies, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. These provisions do not exclude liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights concerning defective services, fraud, intentional misconduct or gross negligence. No liability cap, mandatory arbitration or class-action waiver is imposed by this version.
10. Resolving concerns
Please contact Support@mapnib.com first so we can investigate a concern. Connecticut law governs these terms except where mandatory law gives you other protections. This does not take away a consumer's right to bring a claim in a court or forum available under applicable law. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent allowed by law. A separately signed agreement controls if it expressly changes these terms for your use.
